Ok, so it's decided - I'm going with Ann Gie, Alia and Haida for Kris Allen's showcase. Joy.
I still feel rather frustrated at the fact that I have to bring my younger sister along. The thought of Haida tagging along gives me flashbacks of Amy wanting to follow Jo and Laurie ice-skate, in the Little Women. I guess that's why, as much as I'm against it, am still letting Haida come, for I'm afraid karma will attack the both of us and Haida will crash into the ice. I wouldn't have Laurie to help me if that were to happen, god forbid.
I guess I can live though. Sigh.
On the flip side, though, at least I can meet Hui Cui there, whom which I have not seen in a very long time, and at least I'll have Ann Gie with me so I wouldn't be disturbed as much by the child's presence, and at least I get to see my bb Kris Allen play his music live.
Ah yes, Kris Allen playing his music live. That's what I really desperately wanted those tickets for.
I know where Kris' talents lie, and it lies there, when his voice is raw and natural. From all the songs I've heard Kris sing, his bests were live. Kris may not have the wide vocal range as Adam, but there's just something in voice that's warm and.. well.. human. In his voice, there's emotion and there's soul - it's something for you to feel inside, not just for you to listen to with your ears! I love that the most, when it comes to Kris Allen.
You'd think I'm a krazy Kris fan only because he's a smokin', right? Well by all means, you're wrong. Him being extremely gorgeous is a plus, but his cool and humble personality as a person, and the way he plays his music; not for the ratings, not for the headlines or for the fame, but for what it really is, is what makes me love him.
That's why I don't really care about meet and greets or getting his autograph or having him shake my hand or whatever. Kris Allen, although beautiful, and although famous, he's just an ordinary dude. I mean, I would love to meet him, for he seems like a very cool guy (and he's hot!), but if I'm forced to meet him as a fan, and he as the higher being, where, in the eyes of others, would seem like we're worshiping him, then no, I'd rather not meet Kris Allen at all.
I guess that doesn't make me a big enough fan, huh?
Anyways, now you know the truth - I'm not crazy, and I have a good reason for not wanting to go for the meet and greet. Besides, I wouldn't spend RM40 for an album that I can just download off the internet for no charge at all. Does that make me a bad person? Well, yes, kind of, but it's not my fault I can't buy my songs off of iTunes in Malaysia. If there's anyone to blame, it's Apple, for being such a country-ist (like racist, but with countries).
Thinking of it all now, what with the showcase being tomorrow, it all seems strange. and cool. I can only thank one, for giving me the chance to see my musical idol live tomorrow. No, it's not Hitz, no, it's not the physics law of attraction, and no, it's not luck. It's Allah, alhamdulillah :)
